Prayers and goodwill messages have been pouring in as Nigeria celebrates her 56th independence day anniversary

On this day, 56 years ago, Nigeria became an independent nation. 56 years down the line, the country is still struggling to get it right.



In his address to the nationthis morning, President Muhammdu Buhari said he was aware that things were difficult at the moment. He assured the people that his government was working hard to make things right.
“You know that I am trying to do the right things for our country,” he said.

As Nigeria celebrates her 56 years Independence Day anniversary, a number of people have been congratulating and praying for their motherland.
