Peter Okoye, AY and Papi J being welcomed to Turkey
Fear, anxiety as some Nigerian celebrities are caught up in the unrest going on in Turkey.
One of the duo of P-Square, Peter Okoye now known as Mr P is in Turkey as you read this post.
Mr P was in Turkey to perform at the 10thanniversary of international footballer Samuel Eto’o’s foundation in Antalya, Turkey. The event was also to witness a charity match that was to feature many international football celebrities like Samuel Eto’o, Kanu Nwankwo, Ronaldo, Emmanuel Adebayor, Jay Jay Okocha among others.
Peter was in Antalya with his label mate Papi J Ameh to perform at the charity match. Also there was comedian AY also known as Ayo Makun and Nollywood actor Osita Iheme known as Pawpaw.

On their arrival before the failed coup the duo shared their warm reception on their Instagram pages.

Due to the failed coup attempt, many fans and family members of Peter were calling to check on their safety. Mr P shared photo of himself and Papi J and captioned it on Sunday, July 17 that:

Thought the charity match was later cancelled for security reasons; Peter and Papi J still entertained guests at the charity dinner which was held on Friday, July 15
